Five men wrongfully convicted of sexually assaulting a female jogger in Central Park over 25 years ago have agreed to a settlement.
The agreement reportedly will provide Kharey Wise, Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana and Yusef Salaam approximately $1 million for each year they were wrongfully imprisoned.
In 1989, the young men were charged with raping 28-year-old Trisha Meili. The young men’s arrest and subsequent trial made national headlines.
