[TV/MOVIES] Big Screen Version Of Good Times Coming Soon

Good Times

One of TV’s most beloved and watched African-American comedies maybe heading to the big screen. Columbia Pictures is interested in a big screen version of Good Times.

The 1970’s sitcom, produced by Norman Lear, starred Jimmie Walker, Esther Rolle, Bern Nadette Stanis, and James Amos. The show ran from 1974 to 1979.

Producers Scott Rudin and Eli Bush are said to be on board for the project with Phil Johnston slated to write the screenplay.

No word yet on possible cast selections.
