Somebody just reminded me about how much I use to love buying movie soundtracks; They were awesome mixtapes. Only problem was that occasionally I would be so excited to buy one that I wouldn’t look at the track listings. I’d get home and realize that song I really wanted wasn’t on it. Case and point: The soundtrack for House Party 1. So many great jams on it but I really wanted it for Kids “I made it out of Pops house” theme “Bad Boys” by Luther Vandross. That was my song. I was so disappointed when I realized that it wasn’t on the soundtrack along with the Heatwaves “Always And Forever.” Err! Found out years later that licensing costs to include artists songs on soundtracks that weren’t specifically created for the movie can be VERY expensive. Still a good one nonetheless. Lol
